Cllr Shane Back

Shane is 54 years old and has been married to Kelly for 11 years. Shane and Kelly have 4 children with only the two youngest living at home. They have lived in Lower Stoke for approximately 8 years.
Shane has been a member of Stoke Parish council for at least 2 and a half years. He is also currently the only Flood Warden on the Peninsula, covering from 4 Elms – Cooling – Grain, as well as a Snow Warden.
Shane is a veteran of the Armed Forces, having served 12 years and 151 days as a Chef.
Shane has had a varied education with qualifications from catering, business, safeguarding, education and different aspects of the medical profession, as well as being a trained fire marshal.
Shane enjoys running half marathons for charity, mainly Leukaemia Care and Cancer Research UK. Shane also enjoys a varied taste in music, spending time with his family, helping others, as well as trying to help improve the area in which he lives.
Cllr Nick Craddy-Chairman

Born in Dartford, Nick spent his working life in London in the Telecoms industry, retiring to St Mary Hoo in 2020.
He has always taken an interest in local community life, and with retirement time on his hands decided to stand for the Parish Council in 2023, and was duly elected.
His special interests are drainage and planning matters, he also served as Police Liaison.
He was re-elected in 2025.
Nick is married, and has 4 grown up daughters and 6 grandchildren.

Cllr Paul Khatkar

Paul was co-opted on to the Parish Council in March. He has a wealth of experience in Construction and will be an asset to the community with his valuable knowledge on construction and planning.
He is a valued member of the Council and his commitment to stand as Councillor is welcomed.
