Saint Mary Hoo is a small, pretty hamlet north of Rochester on the Hoo Peninsula in Kent lying between the Rivers Thames and Medway. It is mostly agricultural land with 238^ residents, 192 electors and 94 properties in 914.35^ Hectares. (^= data from 2011 Census.) For more information about the area, read the Wikipedia entry or the 1798 Edward Hasted Survey of Kent for St. Mary Hoo parish.
Our Parish Council exists to represent its residents. We seek to enhance quality of life in the hamlet by preserving that which is historically important while developing that which could improve the services we receive. Medway Council is the unitary authority for our area. The monthly Village Voices Community Magazine - covers events and other news for the St Mary Hoo area.
